Program Coordinator Ii - Critical Investigations Unit - 61144187

Under direct supervision by the Deputy Child Advocate, the Assistant Child Advocate will be responsible for communication and collaborating to investigate and analyze Critical incidents to uphold the mission and commitment of DCA to the children of South Carolina.

The assistant child Advocate will be responsible for:

• Tracking, monitoring and/or investigating CINs submitted to DCA.
• Strictly adhere to agency policy and state and federal law regarding confidentiality.
• Performs other related duties as required or directed.
• Receiving and reviewing electronic Critical Incident Notifications submitted by Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, Department of Health and Environmental Control, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Mental Health, Department of Social Services, John de la Howe, School of the Deaf and Blind, and Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School.
• Effectively communicating and interacting with state agencies, children served, DCA staff, and external staff to fulfill the mission of DCA and to represent DCA in a professional manner.
