The salary for this position is:


$24.43 - $31.50 Hourly
$1,954.62 - $2,520.00 Biweekly
$4,235.00 - $5,460.00 Monthly

$50,820.00 - $65,520.00 Annually


The ACE (Audits, Compliance and Enforcement) unit exists to oversee the enforcement and compliance efforts of the FAMLI (Family and Medical Leave Insurance) Division. The unit will consist of investigators ensuring employers are participating in the program as required
by law and not engaging in any prohibited activities (such as retaliation or interference) and also investigating fraudulent claims for benefits, auditors reviewing employer records to ensure premiums are properly calculated and other enforcement staff.

This position will support the ACE team in administrative, operational, and other program functions. This position will help the Unit Manager and Supervisors with various coordination efforts with other units and teams.
This position will report directly to the ACE Manager.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Education and Experience:
Four years of experience in an administrative position demonstrating the ability to multi-task, cross-organizational intelligence and understanding, identifying issues and developing process to streamline efficiency.

Required Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of Colorado economy and demographics
  • Basic understanding of Colorado’s legislative and regulatory processes
  • Comfort engaging with a wide range of personalities and interests from the general public
  • Willing to pitch in on a wide range of tasks as part of a small staff
  • Ability to accomplish basic research and data analysis with little day-to-day direction
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish
  • Experience in developing and creating working procedures and maintaining procedures for the team. This role will need to not only work within FAMLI to build relationships and understand where ACE’s referrals come from, but also understand external areas within CDLE where referrals can originate. This will help with managing the procedures and processes, but also give them visibility into potential gaps or redundancy.
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Performing duties similar to those assigned to the position as a classified State of Colorado employee.
  • Healthcare experience
  • Excellent communication skills. This position will be working with a variety of internal and external supervisors and will require frequent communication to make sure that changes and updates are communicated out
  • Experience working in a fast-paced changing environment – this is a new division and flexibility, and adaptation will be key in this role
  • Project Management
