Your Job

Molex in Lincoln is looking for a new Production Unit Manager. You will be responsible for all inputs, outputs and other functions in the production unit including safety, quality, materials, planning, production, and environmental systems. We are looking for a strong people leader and developer who can work closely with other department heads in Lincoln, as well as across Molex and various customers and suppliers as well.

Our Team

In this role, this Production Unit Manager will report to our operations Manager. This role will have roughly 6 direct reports, all of which are supervisors and department leaders.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible for supervision, support, and delegation of work between Planning, Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and the Tool Room
  • Guide activities in all areas towards strategic goals (safety, quality, delivery, COPQ, innovation, growth, profitability).
  • Embracing Principal Based Management and the role of the supervisor
  • Responsible for ensuring the unit is running as cost effectively as possible.
  • Enforce company policy and procedures and communicate any changes.
  • Actively support Lean manufacturing initiatives and programs.
  • Coordinate economic investments and strategic planning for the unit.
  • Guide and direct the unit in investigating, designing, and building new processes.
  • Pursue continual cost and productivity improvements in all daily activities.
  • Resolve conflicts or priorities when required to ensure customer satisfaction.
