DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for a Production Supervisor to support our Denver, Colorado site. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of vinyl windows production while meeting departmental goals and maintaining a safe workplace
- Responsible for evaluating personnel issues and make decisions on appropriate coaching or counseling and perform corrective actions as necessary
- Evaluate recurring problems, quality, delivery, safety, etc, and work with the team and managers to solve and make continuous improvements
- Responsible for ensuring all operator are certified or in the process of becoming certified in job being performed
- Responsible for evaluating the flow throughout the shift and keeping production lines supplies balanced and operating at maximum effectiveness to meet goals
- Ensure all employees are following all safety policies and wearing all PPE
- Must understand and implement all Prime Window Systems policies and procedures
- Responsible for evaluating equipment problems to determine if repairs are necessary and coordinating those repairs
- All other duties as assigned by management
- Responsible for evaluating production needs in reference to materials, scrap and parts, manpower needs and coordinate with other departments in order to meet daily goals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Limited exposure to weather and climate change
- Lean certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to walk/stand for long durations (duration of shift excluding breaks)
- Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
- Experience in lean manufacturing, quality systems and safety systems desired
- Vision abilities to include close, distance, peripheral, color and depth differentiation
- Frequent exposure to dust and debris from the production process
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Requires 2-5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- Frequent exposure to loud noises
