OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a 3rd Shift Production Operator to operate production machines to produce molded products or parts from pre-mixed compounds to the quality standards required by the customer. Maintains continuous attention to heat and pressure gauges and ensures that mold does not close on a molded product. Removes molding products from machine, may trim off spurs, flash, assemble, etc. and keeps a record of products produced. Watches for malfunction of machine as evidenced by defective products and reports to lead operator.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows work instructions to produce, inspect, label, and pack plastic parts.
- Makes decisions on acceptability of product visually or dimensionally.
- Separate and document non-conforming parts.
- Responsible for keeping accurate production records and reporting.
- Operates plastic injection molding machines at standard cycle.
- Assists in system/product investigation and corrective actions.
- Communicates with outgoing and incoming operators information about the current production run.
- Maintains work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assists in training new team members when assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Regularly lifts/moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts/moves up to 50 pounds.
- Must demonstrate ability to use hands, fingers, talk, hear, see, stand, stoop and twist.
- No prior experience or training required.
- Able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or picture form.
- Basic math, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

- High School Diploma or GED
