Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for training & managing production staff
  • Assists in cost control and working hours per door to achieve budgeted expenses.
  • Ensures and monitors duties to make sure corporate policy and procedures are being followed.
  • Regular reporting to the General Manager on department productivity through specific tracking methods.
  • Manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned.
  • Exceptional work ethic. Uses time productively, maximizes efficiency, and meets challenging work goals.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to keep clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports updated based on their information needs.
  • Encourages open communication by listening attentively and actively. Seeks to fully understand information from many points of view.
  • Checks individual work orders for materials. Verify we have everything needed to manufacture and it is allocated properly
  • Oversees Scheduling Department and sets production guidelines
  • Provides sales team with labor costs for custom projects.
  • Quality Control
  • The ability to move (lift or slide) product weighing approximately 75 lbs. on a regular basis and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • The mobility and dexterity necessary to stand most of the day, walk throughout the Shop and Warehouse regularly, and to operate saws and machinery efficiently and safely.
  • The ability to maintain favorable relations with co-workers.
  • Work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week as required.
  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversation and instructions.
  • Must be 18 years of age in order to legally operate the required power equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry 50 pounds, anything over will be lifted with two employees. Ability to work outdoors in hot/cold atmosphere.
  • Corrected vision sufficient to accurately read work tickets, product descriptions, and product numbers, identify products, and inspect final products.
  • A safe work history.
