Overview

The Product Photographer will work with the Marketing Department to manage all product photography and support merchandising design needs. They will have advanced knowledge in product photography and industry-standard design software. Photos and/or designs will meet brand standards to help sell Chadwell Supply products.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite Applications (such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and others) and familiarity with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 2+ years of photography and/or graphic design experience.
• A strong business and design background with a commercial mindset.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related discipline.
• A photography and/or design portfolio must be submitted.
• Experienced in product photography, still photography, and 360 images.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Proof, prepare, and release final art files for production.
• Manage and maintain accurate product photography libraries.
• Research product data and develop support materials accordingly.
• Manage all aspects of product photography including shooting still images and 360 images, removing backgrounds, and creating final files for production.
• Duties may also include coordinating headshots, corporate business development photography, and candid/event photography.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and advance new and innovative product merchandising ideas.
• Manipulate product images using software for accurate color correction, shading, angles, etc.
• Collaborate with merchandising specialists to determine the correct angles for product photographs.
• Ensure files for production are properly built and work with specified parameters on a per-project basis.
• Design both print and digital collateral for marketing support such as diagrams, flyers, advertisements, sales materials, etc.

Photographer

• Advanced knowledge of photo manipulation and color correction techniques.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and other image editing software.
• Understanding of image composition, color balance, how to shoot products with reflective surfaces.
• Experience with shooting in various styles including lifestyle photography and events.
• Physical ability to set up/tear down photoshoots with equipment/backdrops.

Graphic Artist

• Understanding of file types and their proper usage.
• Skilled in the preparation of production-ready files for print or digital usage.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and other layout software.
• Solid knowledge of graphic design process and design principles including the use of typography and color.
• Demonstrated eye for detail and ability to QC own work.
