Job Purpose
The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.
Essential Functions
- Solicit stakeholders, network engineers, and team on new creative approaches to automation
- Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint Goals
- Work with stakeholders to understand/document new requirements and discuss strategic goals and vision with the team.
- Communicate new features, improvements, and resolved bugs in each release to key stakeholders
- Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders
- Responsible for working with the development teams on prioritizing backlog and ensuring commitments and requirements are met
- Work with Agile Scrum Master to provide team performance reports and metrics
- Work with stakeholders, Scrum Master, and development team to develop feature roadmaps and release schedules
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Agile Scrum Development and Quality team
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience
Education
- Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with managing the development, quality, and release teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of systems such as Windows, Linux, and Networking
- Attention to details
- Previous software development experience
- Strong understanding of CICD pipeline/tools and rapid release strategies
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- 3-5 years in Product Management of a development team
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Creative thinker with a vision
- In-depth knowledge of Agile framework and methodologies
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leads work teams (assigns, coordinates, and checks work) for employees performing similar work
