THE ROLE


Product Marketing is at the center of growth at SoFi - Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) are the glue that binds our product and go-to-market strategies to drive success by increasing awareness and building trust in our solutions, products and services to drive new sales and product adoption. PMMs serve as the central point of contact for all cross- functional and cross-channel growth campaigns In this role, you will be the lead analyst within the Credit Card PMM team, responsible for translating data driven insights into strategic recommendations for driving growth for the rapidly evolving Credit Card product. You will work closely with Marketing Data Science partners to implement cutting edge ML and AI targeting models across a wide spectrum of campaigns across both Direct Response and Digital marketing channels. You will partner with Risk to understand selection impacts from our campaigns and walk hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering partners to ensure an optimal member experience from marketing campaigns. You will make grounded analytical recommendations to key Credit Card leadership members that will shape the future of the growing SoFi Credit Card product. You will combine analytical insights and strategic thought leadership backed by market evidence to drive hyper-personalized targeting and messaging that resonates with our target audience. You will develop innovative internal and external programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to develop our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems. You will constantly test strategies to learn, iterate, and innovate to deliver the right outcome for our members and the bottom line.


What you’ll do:


  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy, and their critical buying criteria.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for Credit Card,, including speaking engagements and written works.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Develop end to end marketing plans for Credit Card in conjunction with our marketing channel teams, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Decision Making—Make key decisions and create strategic recommendations backed by strong conceptual marketplace understanding and grounded in quantitative proof points.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support Credit Card on an ongoing basis, report back to the business on required changes, and robustify existing reporting cadences and tools.
  • Collaborate with product management, growth, and content marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Plan the launches of net-new products/features and releases of existing products/features, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
  • Analytical Insights—leverage database querying tools (e.g. SQL) and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Excel) to generate data driven insights.


What you’ll need:


  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross- functional teams and third parties. Team player!
  • Industry experience in Credit Card Marketing Analytics highly desired
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects across Risk, Marketing, Product, and Business functions
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and proficiency in Tableau
  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack, Asana, Lucidchart, Loom, Figma and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is—or isn’t—working.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in growth or marketing capacity, with demonstrated experience developing and analyzing marketing campaigns

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
