Job Description

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Graco is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of highly-engineered systems for numerous industrial and commercial applications. This position supports our Process Division (PRO), which has moved to a brand new facility in Dayton, MN in the fall of 2022! In this division, process equipment (http://bit.ly/1r73dM4) and sanitary systems (http://bit.ly/WfrSTc) are used in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and oil and gas industries.


Job Purpose

Maximize identified process product sales to worldwide sanitary and industrial markets while meeting corporate and divisional profit objectives. In addition, know the worldwide customer requirements for the identified products and applications and prioritize those requirements through product line planning for optimum long-term growth and profitability.


Essential Duties

Product Management

  • Manage entire product life-cycle (concept to launch)
  • Create and manage product pricing strategy
  • Develop and analyze reports on product business performance and growth
  • Forecast and monitor worldwide product demand, and work with manufacturing to execute


Product Development

  • Identify product features that will result in superior customer value, technological advantages, or patent control
  • Champion new product development through engineering and manufacturing
  • Support multi- year product plan development through market research
  • Develop worldwide product requirements for new product, including product costs and necessary justifications
  • Develop and drive processes related to product line improvements, product line extensions, and new product development


Market Research

  • Identify marketing trends and opportunities to increase market share and grow revenue
  • Complete competitive market analysis and monitor activity
  • Research and analyze customers and develop an understanding of competition, usage, and customer types


Product Marketing

  • Plan, coordinate and execute product marketing strategies
  • Introduce new products including product training & promotion strategies and tactics to achieve new product revenue objectives
  • Create sales support material for all products

Position Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or technical field. Master’s degree desirable
  • International business experience preferred
  • 5+ years formal marketing or related experience
  • Technical aptitude for mechanical and electrical industrial products


Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively create, plan and implement programs with limited supervision
  • Ability to successfully apply complete knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills in order to successfully work with all organizational levels and relay information and provide supporting evident to sustain his/her point of view
  • Ability to travel up 30%, including international travel
  • Demonstrated ability in product management, product planning, or program management
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented and process-based approach to problem solving
