Job Description

Fortress Power is looking for an experienced Lead Product Engineer to join our growing team! This individual will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of energy storage systems. They will play a pivotal role in the growth of renewable energy by providing safe and reliable energy storage solutions. The ideal candidate is someone who can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Product Technical Documents and manage document storage/distribution.
  • Understand testing standards, reports, and list new products per regional requirements.
  • Defining and implementing technical requirements for energy storage product/projects. Communicating technical information to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate and drive New Product Development Project with hardware and software R&D Teams.
  • Evaluate and implement Product Improvement Project and ECR.
  • Full product life cycle engineering technical support for company.
  • Staying current with advancements in energy storage technologies and regulations.
  • Overseeing functional, integration level testing, and participating New System Testing


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of energy storage systems, battery technology, and power electronics
  • Residential Solar System Design/Deployment experience
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to energy storage
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of the product development process
  • PV Inverter and Battery experience required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Professional engineer documentation skills
