What We Need


At Freshly Picked, beautifully designed and functional products are everything! The Product Development Manager will play a key role managing new and existing products and will be directly responsible for the successful development and launch of the product from beginning to end. This person sees strategic ideas through from design and testing to implementation and market introduction.


The right person will be a self-starter and have a strong sense of concept development, in addition to communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. They will also be organized and able to maintain all activities consistent with our fast-moving product development and project management calendar.


A peek at what you’ll do:


  • Maintain and develop license partnerships – Have open and clear communication lines with all our license partnerships to capitalize on market trends, new releases and advertising pushes.
  • Research market needs – Review customer and market data regarding gaps in the current market, improvements on current products, current trends and more. Hold focus groups to help understand customer needs and validate product designs.
  • Manage product releases – Work with the marketing team to plan out launch cadences for optimal success. Draft and distribute product briefs to ensure teams have a solid understanding of the product and capabilities to ensure launch success.
  • Project Coordination – Create meeting agendas, attend Leadership meetings, take notes and follow up. Help to organize and follow up with various projects.
  • Contribute to the Product Vision and Concept Design – Create a vision for all product categories including product expansion. Using market and customer research as well as trend analysis create Footwear, Accessories and Diaper Bag products. Gather and present inspiration for new ideas, new product lines and design for seasonal lines.


What you need:


  • Proficiency in Excel, Google, and other office software and high aptitude of understanding consumer/product data.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in an internship or full-time role preferred.
  • Ability to take direction, handle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Detail oriented, flexible/willing to learn, team player.
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong sense of color, fashion and awareness of trends and taste level
  • Exceptional organization skills required as well as the ability to proactively self-prioritize workflow based on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
