Job Summary
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be joining the Design & Customer Experience (DCE) team that is dedicated to Chase's Premium Travel business, a developing segment of Chase's established travel portfolio.
In this role, you will conceptualize, structure, and detail our user experiences within the context of a broader user journey. You will partner with Product Managers and Engineers, involved in prioritization, planning and decisions along the way to execution. You don't need to be an expert at every step, but your leadership will enable you and those who partner with you to execute at a high level of quality.This is an exciting time to join the DCE team, which is highly collaborative and supportive.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ideate and prototype to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions
  • Diagram the interactivity of the product ecosystem, including omnichannel service and feature interactions, with user flows and wireframes
  • Participate in upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of Experience Researchers
  • Detail UI design that brings our solutions to life
  • Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work
  • Design and re-design high-end product experiences supporting Chase's highest net worth customers along their travel journey
  • Present work, connecting design decisions to desired business impact

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g. Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
  • Portfolio which demonstrates your design approach, delivery of user-centered product solutions, and understanding of technical and business constraints informing your design decisions
  • Keen awareness of when to hold the line on methodological rigor and when to adapt to the changing needs of a project or program
  • Experience creating wireframes and detailed visual design documents (comps, redlines) for shipping products
  • Advanced skills in Interaction Design as well as either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research or UX Writing
  • Experience across multiple release cycles working closely with design, product management and development teams to realize experiences using agile project management

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as React, and mobile UI standards
  • Has shipped multiple successful digital products, demonstrating user- and human-centered design approaches
  • Demonstrated understanding of how design connects with broader business value
  • Experience designing ecommerce products and working with luxury or lifestyle brands
