Procurement Manager (Transportation & Logistics)

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Location: Skillman, NJ

Duration: 9 Months with possibilities of extension

Pay Rate: $35-$38 per hour on W2 without Benefits (Negotiable)

Description:

We are looking for a Manager to oversee the N.A. transportation procurement categories and to lead initiatives related to several sourcing functions.

The Manager will be responsible for, individually executing and for managing a team that executes, the following activities:

- Purchase Order (PO) management and/or support

- Spend data collection and analytics

- Category strategy development and implementation

- Build and share industry knowledge

- Meet procurement metrics (e.g. savings and diversity spend)

- Contract negotiations and management

- Request for Proposals (RFPs) development and implementation

- Sourcing support for transportation operations and issue escalation/management

- Supplier qualification, supplier segmentation, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

- Business Planning and inflation mitigation

- Other procurement project support Logistics Procurement and People Leaderhip Experience is preferred. Contract negotiation, Project Management, SRM, and category strategy development experience is required

Notes from the Hiring Manager:

- Position will be hybrid role (onsite 3 days, and 2 days remote)

- Schedule is usually Tue, Wed, Thu onsite with Mon and Fri remote

- Working around $2-3 Million in Spend in North America

- Bachelor's Degree is required

- At least 6 years of exp.

- Procurement exp. and process exp. required

- Contract exp. is required

- Must be a quick learner who is not intimidated in an ongoing changing environment with the new Consumer split

- Negotiations with providers exp.

- Ground Transportation exp.

- Sourcing exp.

- May meet with Stakeholders and team members

- Experience with PowerBI is very helpful
