Job Description

Job Title: Indirect Spend Analyst

Department: Global Procurement

Reports To: VP, Global Procurement

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Nashville, TN


ABOUT THE POSITION:

Overview:

The Procurement Analyst is a key support role for sourcing projects related to cost savings, innovation, and benchmarking. This role performs data mining internally across multiple ERP systems and externally across multiple sources. This role is the owner of SVP global spend cube from procurement perspective. Additionally, the Procurement Analyst helps the Procurement Team propose corresponding strategies for sourcing and negotiation. The Procurement Analyst analyzes all RFP data and presents findings and recommendations to senior management. This role collaborates with Marketing/NPD, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and other functions to create best in class Procurement processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Interpreting data into actionable items and working with cross-functional partners to drive results.
  • Reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing data and presenting findings in a concise and structured manner.
  • Providing analytics and assisting in the development of senior leadership presentations, and to evaluate variances to standard costs.
  • Drawing conclusions, developing recommendations, and identifying risks/opportunities from data.
  • Compiling financial data into meaningful analyses.
  • Commodity tracking, monitoring, and analyses.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners across the organization to gather product costing data such as raw materials, packaging, labor, and overhead data.
  • Assisting in monitoring and driving continuous improvements in product costing as well as processes and systems.
  • Providing analytics and assisting in the development of senior leadership presentations.
  • Compiling financial data into meaningful analyses.
  • Providing explanations to the key drivers, along with insights and recommendations to improve costs.
  • Interpreting data into actionable items and working with cross-functional partners to drive results.
  • Sourcing Projects and saving tracking and implementation.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience with analyzing and tracking capital expenditures (CapEx)
  • Robust modeling and analytical skills.
  • Must be proficient with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing functions, with strengths in analysis and benchmarking.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Expertise with SAP and Power BI.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify and communicate potential opportunities and risks.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) skills.


Education and Certifications-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of procurement project management and/or Finance or FP&A experience.
