JOB SUMMARY:

Develop processes and methods related to improving efficiency, using 3D definition from Spec & Design through the customer support organization (end to end) within the aircraft completion cycle. Lead or partner in studies and projects to achieve cost and cycle reductions, through analysis and manufacturing design technologies.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Perform special assignments as directed by supervision
• Perform studies and selective audits to determine if procedures/written instructions are correct and meet compliance.
• Define processes and methods to drive the efficient use of 3D data within the facility
• Analyze manufacturing and assembly practices and proposed improvement opportunities to increase quality, reduces costs and lead time
• Lead manufacturing processes improvement projects centered on the uses of numerical processes , digital continuity ( 3D end-to-end processes) and/or new and innovative technologies
• Work in a collaborative process with personnel from Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Planning, MIS and Program Management to achieve Company goals and objectives.
• Develop corrective action plans as needed to support the end-to-end process

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Knowledge of LECTRA or other design software for 3D upholstery pattern development (preferred)
• Able to produce trend/root cause analysis and translate to improvement opportunities
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to influence decisions through technical discussion
• Aircraft related experience
• Three years’ experience in developing processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project
• CATIA V5 (Basic design) or SolidWorks
• Process mapping and writing methodology documents (preferred)
