Job Description

The Process Engineer will assist with new product transfers and identify process improvement.


Responsibilities

· Provide leadership and support for increasing product quality and productivity in reducing product costs. ·

Conduct engineering studies and process/equipment validations including executing and preparing protocols, final reports, and summarizing/analyzing results. ·

Support development of operating procedures and training of Process Engineer I,II and manufacturing Team Leads as necessary. ·

Provide manufacturing process engineering support for the transfer of new products into manufacturing, as managed by Engineering Services Department and Manufacturing. ·

Respond to requests for engineering support to technical and operational issues in the production process, with prompt and effective resolution. ·

Manage the design and development of new equipment to be used in the manufacturing

Technical interface with component vendors to communicate part requirements, to resolve technical issues, and to develop long-term reliability of vendor supplied parts.


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent. · 8+ years related experience with 4 years of experience in medium to high volume manufacturing industry. ·

Experience in a regulated industry (pharma), with the medical devices field preferred. ·

Clearly demonstrate hands-on problem-solving skills. ·

Engineering Design and Project Management skills. ·

Good written communication skills with excellent verbal communication skills. ·

Solid works, VISIO, CAD, Minitab, are a plus. ·

Knowledge/experience with Project Management, statistical analysis techniques, and Six Sigma/Lean.
