Procedure Scheduler Jobs

• Ensure patients fully understand company cancellation policy and fee schedule
• Schedule patients based on the procedure the provider has ordered
• Ensure all hospitals have necessary paperwork completed at least 5 business days prior to the procedure
• Maintain procedure schedules for physicians by coordinating with hospitals and our endoscopy staff to ensure full utilization of providers time (full day 16 cases, ½ block 8 cases)
• Work closely with Physician Assistants with inpatient add on’s and notify appropriate hospital personnel immediately
• Work closely with insurance verification personnel to ensure patients insurance have been verified 2 weeks prior to procedure
• Communicate any cancellations or add on’s to appropriate personnel same day as the change was made
• Review preparation instructions with patient to ensure the patient has a full understanding of our expectations
• Schedule procedures with anesthesia with appropriate hospital
• Schedule procedure location based on acceptance of patient insurance
• Hospitals and ASC call 1 day prior to appointment to ensure low No Show rate
• Acquire necessary referrals for outpatient procedures
• Prepare procedure charts to ensure provider has all necessary paperwork prior to start of their day
• Confirm procedures 5 days prior to appointment for all procedures…office-based endoscopy and hospital patients

Qualifications

Medical experience preferred

Communicate clear instructions and follow physician orders
