Private Equity Vice President

A private equity firm specializing in buy and build investments in lower middle market companies is looking to add a talented VP to their team this year. They are committed to creating long-term value for their investors by executing on large scale buy & build programs in North America and partnering with exceptional management teams to accelerate growth and drive operational improvements. You will play a critical role in development, deal sourcing, evaluating and executing on buy and build investment opportunities in the lower middle market. You will lead deal teams, work closely with management teams, and collaborate with senior partners to drive value creation and achieve investment objectives. Your expertise in private equity, experience in leading teams, and knowledge of the buy and build thesis will be essential to our success.

Their buy and build investment strategy allows them to focus on companies with strong growth potential, often with revenue between $10 million and $50 million, where they can create value by acquiring complementary businesses and driving operational improvements.

Vice President Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth industry research and analysis to identify investment trends and opportunities and to support investment theses development
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Develop and execute investment strategies and business plans to drive growth and value creation through acquisitions and operational improvements
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements and achieve strategic objectives
• Source, evaluate, and execute buy and build investment opportunities in the lower middle market in partnership with senior partners
• Lead due diligence efforts and manage deal teams to ensure successful deal execution
• Cultivate key relationships with business owners, management teams & industry experts
• Actively participate in fundraising efforts and maintain relationships with investors

Vice President Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Track record of sourcing and executing successful buy and build investments is a plus
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite, especially Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint
• 6+ years of experience in private equity, corporate finance or investment banking with a focus on the lower middle market
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and due diligence skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA program is a plus
• Experience leading deal teams and managing junior team members

Location

• Hybrid work-model with required presence in Atlanta, GA
• Frequent travel (up to 2 days / week)
