Prior Authorization Coordinator Jobs

We are currently hiring 3 full time Prior Authorization Coordinators! These Prior Authorization Coordinators will advocate on behalf of the patient and practitioner at various CCP practices to facilitate approval for medications, nutritional supplements and DME. After your initial training period, this position will be a remote role working from home.
Other responsibilities include:
Contact insurance companies to verify patient’s insurance eligibility, benefits and requirements for prior authorizations.
Track all tasks placed in Allscripts. Ensure timely completion of authorization based on established guidance/workflow.
Prioritize incoming authorization requests according to urgency.
Perform necessary faxing of forms, documents and patient medical records.
Participate in medication therapy management initiatives and conduct medication adherence outreach
Maintain resources information for contacts at specialist offices.
Know and follow insurance carrier policies for pre-authorizations.
Must be aware of patient confidentiality and bring any concerns to manager.

Salary range: 18.43 - 27.64/hr

Requirements
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
Minimum of two years in a clerical role in a medical practice. .
Experience completing prior authorizations a plus.
Strong computer skills.
