We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Power BI Analyst with strong expertise in data modeling and SQL. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in designing and implementing data models, as well as a strong understanding of database management concepts. The candidate should also possess introductory level exposure to Snowflake database tooling.


The Principal BI Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing data models, designing efficient and scalable data solutions, and creating insightful visualizations using Power BI. The candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets, and able to identify and troubleshoot data quality issues. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and have a strong desire to learn and grow.

The Work Itself

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and other relevant solutions.
  • Design and implement ETL processes using SQL and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet them.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Create efficient and scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement solutions to address them.
  • Develop and maintain data models using best practices for performance and scalability.
  • Continuously learn and grow technical skills to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions and visualizations.

The Skills You Bring

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, SQL development, and database management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Introductory level exposure to Snowflake database tooling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Expertise in designing and implementing data models using best practices.
  • Experience with Power BI or other similar BI tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
