Job Description
Overview
The Clemmons Medical Center (CMC) and Medical Park Hospital (MPH) facility President - Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the overall operations for both the Clemmons Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital facilities and all operating divisions for both locations. The role will also be responsible for the strategic plan and execution of coordinated service delivery for rural healthcare in contiguous counties. The CMC & MPH facility President - Chief Operating Officer ensures organizational integrity, the provision of high-quality, efficient operations, financial results and the development and implementation of a strategic plan that aligns with the mission and vision of Novant Health. The CMC & MPH facility President - Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the integration of hospital operations, community medicine, institutes and innovation centers to successfully deploy and implement strategic initiatives in a meaningful and effective way to achieve optimal outcomes for the facilities and the organization as a whole. She/He must balance the authority of the role with direct leadership and oversight of leaders and front-line team members within the facilities to the influential oversight of other corporate and indirect reporting relationships.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of progressive healthcare experience with at least 6-8 in acute care operations required. A working knowledge of all aspects of an integrated health system, required. Experience working in a matrix focused environment is preferred.
  • Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; possess knowledge of current leadership, management, and business concepts, and the ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to address opportunities to improve organizational performance; possess the educational and experiential requirements of leadership; possess personal / professional / educational attributes as defined by federal, state, local law and regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, required. Graduate Degree required in Healthcare / Business Administration or Related field.
Responsibilities

  • Essential Functions:
