Daycare Program Manager | Spartanburg


The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is expanding! We are seeking a Childcare Program Manager to manage and train on the implementation of curriculum and developmentally-appropriate practices at our school in Spartanburg. Pay range: $19.00-$21.50/hour, based on experience, education and credentials.


Daycare Program Manager Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and facilitate semi-annual parent/teacher conferences.
  • Complete classroom observations and growth plans, as needed
  • Train teachers on curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, and quality-rating practices
  • Work collaboratively with Center Director to provide feedback, assess needs, and recommend solutions
  • Ensure adequate classroom materials
  • Plan, coordinate, and assist in the execution of summer camp
  • Ensure classroom lesson plans are completed and implemented
  • Develop and track teacher professional development plans
  • Assist with the hiring and on-boarding of new teachers
  • Ensure all regulatory and company policies are observed in classrooms


Requirements


  • At least 2 - 5 years of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility required
  • Working knowledge of state rules and regulations governing the operation of childcare center.
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
  • Meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, and maintain state in-service requirements
  • Track record of successfully training with ability to help develop teaching staff and evaluate teacher classroom performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of Creative Curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, Environmental Rating Scale, and developmental milestones as defined by the state’s early learning goals required.
