Pmo Analyst - Entry Level

Located in the Arena District of downtown Columbus, the NiSource Delivery Methods and Practices team is part of the newly formed Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This team is responsible for defining the three NiSource delivery frameworks (Agile, Iterative and Waterfall) and for ensuring compliance with these framework definitions.

The PMO Analyst - Entry Level will be responsible for complete project phase reviews and implementing delivery framework process improvements.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitates a continuous improvement process for the Project Management Methodology (PMM) and validates compliance with the standards defined within the PMM and IT Delivery Playbook.

• Remains aware and takes care of details that are easy to overlook or dismiss as insignificant.
• Composes clear, direct, concise, and complete verbal and written messages; Summarizes and presents information to leadership
• Utilizes and promotes the use of standardized templates; creates new templates and recommends future enhancements such as project charter, detailed requirements, and test plans.
• Challenges the status-quo of existing processes to ensure efficiency and flexibility to support ever-changing business requirements; facilitates and promotes continuous improvement of business processes.

Experience listed below could be obtained through a combination of schoolwork, course work, research, or any relevant previous job or internship experiences

Minimum Qualifications:

• Aptitude for attention to detail, accuracy, and precision
• 1+ years of experience consisting of relevant coursework and internships in project management or audit
• Knowledge and experience with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Bachelor's Degree in CIS, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated strong process orientation and analytical problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with agile practices
• Coursework and/or certifications related to project management, Lean, or Agile
• Experience with ServiceNow
