Our team is responsible for operation and general maintenance of 186 buildings in the greater Santa Clara valley. We are looking for an experienced plumber to join our team!

Key Qualifications

  • Communicate well with building users and managers to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains.
  • Reads and interprets plumbing and piping prints, schematics, and diagrams to understand the plumbing system and water supply system layout.
  • Cleans, maintains, and services sanitary and storm system sumps, drains, waste lines, lift stations and waste treatment plants.
  • Utilizes pressure testing equipment, gauges, thermometers, and other instruments.
  • Required knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites.
  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Facility Services Department.
  • Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.
  • Answer calls for plumbing issues from general contractors.
  • Must be available for emergencies, required overtime, varied work schedules and shifts.
  • Other duties could include working in other areas of the maintenance department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Communicate well with team members and fellow employees.
  • Repair and install various appliances.
  • Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.
  • Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial sites.
  • Able to solder, braze, weld, cut, and thread all types of piping and tubing.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial sites.

Description

You will be expected to respond and complete plumbing and general maintenance tasks received via service request ticket or supervisor direction. Ability to work safely and independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues with an eye for detail is critical. Occasional supervision of a team on larger projects may be required.

Education & Experience

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Degree or certificate in a facilities or maintenance discipline preferred.

The base pay range for this role is between $37.45 and $57.40/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
