Job Description

NETZSCH Premier Technologies, LLC is looking for a PLC Support Specialist to provide both onsite and remote support for our customers and NETZSCH Field Service employees. Responsibilities include:

  • Support our customers and Field Service Technicians onsite in the field if necessary
  • Participate in trainings mainly in Exton, PA, but also in Germany or Spain up to 6 weeks at a time
  • Participation in projects and developments related to Industry 4.0
  • Support our customer and Field Service Technicians in service cases related to PLC / PC / HMI and NETZSCH Connect via Remote Services
  • As part of a strong Commissioning Team for new machines in wet and dry grinding at customer‘s site, short travels for signal exchange with customer’s SCADA system are required
  • After an initial training in Exton, PA, working from home is possible
  • Communication with other Service Support Centers and Engineering Departments worldwide



Previous experience or equivalent training in a field of technology such as an electrical or an electromechanical field, or degree in engineering or related technical degree is required. In addition:

  • Knowledge and experience in Software creation with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal and the Visualization Software WinCC flexible
  • Previous experience providing remote support
  • Previous field service experience preferred
  • Comfortable being in contact with customers and having good communication skills as well as high quality standards in your work ethic
  • A minimum of 3-5 years‘ experience in machine maintenance is required.
  • Knowledge of drive technology and switchgear construction
  • Experience with Siemens in an industrial PLC environment preferred (optional Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley)
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50% in USA and Canada, occasional worldwide required. Must have valid driver's license and passport.
  • Solid electrical/programming knowledge
