Job Description
The Morehead City Marlins are looking for qualified Broadcasting Interns for the duration of the 2023 summer baseball season.
The Marlins are one of the most successful teams in the Coastal Plain League, a summer wood-bat collegiate baseball league with teams in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Our team will play a 48-game regular season schedule from late May through early August, with 29 home games at Big Rock Stadium in Morehead City, NC. We employ a small full-time staff, so interns will perform integral duties.
We are looking for talented and equipped Broadcasting Interns who are passionate and ready to learn. Successful candidates with be an essential part of the "behind the camera" media production of the 2023 Morehead City Marlins.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all press box equipment, including video and radio boards.
  • Execution of pre-production schedule, including video, audio, and graphic design.
  • Preparing daily game notes and statistic packs for media and coaches.
  • Shoot videos and/or photos of the team during training sessions, game days, and other events as needed.
  • Broadcast all home games on FloSports and all road games on Mixlr (or other audio platforms).
  • Aiding in the post-production process of exporting photos and videos to the team's website, social media pages, etc.
Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of production and media is preferred.

  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualified individuals should be competent professionals, able to independently perform all game day media and public relation activities, develop quality written communications with the media, communicate with the baseball operations department, and effectively broadcast games to a large audience.
