Are you ready to be part of something big? Greif is thrilled to announce the opening of our cutting edge Corrugated Sheet and Box manufacturing facility right here in the heart of Dallas, Texas!
Greif is seeking a seasoned Plant Superintendent (1st Shift) who will be an integral part of the plant core leadership team, this person must possess strong knowledge and managerial experience in the Corrugated sheet and box industry. This person will be in responsible for managing front line Production supervisors across all shifts to safely and efficiently produce Corrugated Sheets and Boxes in our 350,000+ sq ft facility and will report into the Plant Operations Manager.

This position includes an above-market total compensation package as outlined below,

Key Responsibilities
  • Creates and implements improvement plans for the overall operation.
  • Controls expenditures in accordance with budget.
  • Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, insures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Continuously improves the plant's performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.
  • Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.
  • Encourages joint problem solving and individual development.
  • Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits
  • Supports Greif mission, follows values of Greif and works to better Greif’s business as a whole.
  • Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities as it relates to the team and Greif.
  • Effectively implements new performance management systems, production plans and performance criteria; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.

Education and Experience
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10 or more years of relevant experience in the Corrugated industry as a production leader.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Computer skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability in problem solving and multi-tasking.
  • Knowledge of the plant's operation.
