Duties

Operate and set-up material processing equipment under general technical guidance from supervisor. Prepare and package a variety of reference materials using net-weight balances, automated net-weight fillers, and heat sealers. Maintain accurate records, logs, data sheets, inventory and other documentation required using automated computer software
Qualifications

Basic Requirements: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 level (or ZT-I at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience include, but not limited to experience proving support in the setup and operation of Milling Machines and Lathes. Experience in assisting with machining software. Experience in record keeping, gathering and maintaining data. OR Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in an appropriate field of physical science, or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses of physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics. OR Combination of education and experience. NOTE: Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. AND In addition to the above minimum qualification requirements, applicants must have a valid US drivers license. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
