Job Description
Summary


This is a Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways Program. NIST works with industry and science to advance innovation and improve quality of life. We're looking for a Student Trainee (Physical Science) to join our team!
Duties


The candidate will engage in prototype construction, test, and evaluation for an automated argon triple point realization platform. Tasks within this area will include sensor installation and configuration, high-purity gas manifold design and construction, instrumentation and control configuration, thermal process control and automation, data acquisition, data management and analysis.
Qualifications


BASIC REQUIREMENT: Applicants must be currently pursuing a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
