Compensation:

• Salaries start at $34,000 for first-year teachers; more for years of classroom experience and advanced degrees

Work Hours:

• Teachers are expected to be on campus from 7:30 am – 3:45 pm

Academic Requirements:

• BS or BA – ideally in education and the field of study that correlates to the teaching position

Spiritual Requirements:

• Must have a vibrant relationship with God that he/she can express willingly and energetically
• Embrace and model the fundamental values of the school’s mission
• Be concerned about ministry to students, helping to build them in faith and to nurture them in love
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity with academic and leadership abilities
• Must be a born-again believer whose convictions shape his/her personal and professional life

Teaching Requirements:

• Participate in annual professional development
• Maintain adequate records of attendance and grades
• Use of technology including but not limited to eLearning platform, Zoom®, and other virtual programs.
• Employ those instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative and effective teaching
• Use effective classroom management strategies to foster a solid learning environment
• Prepare weekly lesson plans that follow the school’s curriculum maps
• Teach regularly scheduled classes as assigned on the master schedule
• Attend and participate in scheduled faculty meetings, retreats, and Parent Teacher meetings.

Communication Requirements:

• Speak favorably of and publicly support the school, faculty, and school leadership
• Regular and adequate communication with the home via the telephone, written notes, personal conferences, and e-mail
• Attend and/or participate in school activities

Other Responsibilities:

• Attend and monitor chapel
• Uphold all school policies and procedures.
• Perform supervisory duties such as hall duty, lunch, recess, and before/after school supervision
• Participate on committees as assigned
