Photographer Jobs

We are seeking a talented and passionate full-time photographer to join our team. This is an internal, salaried position and not a freelance or contract role. This photographer will work out of our in-house studio in Dallas, Texas with our equipment. (We’re a Canon/Mac house.)

The photographer will be responsible for product photography and some light retouching in Lightroom and Photoshop. We require a candidate with a strong grasp of studio lighting and attention to the smallest details, as many of the products we shoot are small.

Additionally, knowledge and experience in video production and editing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Photograph - Stage and photograph product images for online retail, following various platform guidelines
• Exercise Judgment - Choose equipment, props, settings, and lighting to achieve desired results, manage and maintain the set
• Organize - Create and maintain image standards and a digital asset management system
• Collaborate - Read and interpret creative briefs, in collaboration with the Director of Content

Requirements and Qualifications

• Equipment - Proficiency in operating cameras, lights, and other photography equipment
• Time-Management - Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Deadlines - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Experience - 2+ years of experience as a product photographer
• Education/Experience - A degree in photography or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Adobe Creative Suite - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically in Photoshop and Lightroom
• Video Editing - Experience or a willingness to learn about video editing and motion graphics
• Illustrator - Proficiency in graphic design software, specifically Adobe Illustrator
• Focus Stacking - Familiarity with focus stacking and Helicon software is desirable
