Phlebotomist Jobs

Job Summary

Performs phlebotomy procedures on inpatients, outpatients, and client accounts; organizes blood collection work, performs outpatient registrations, processes blood specimens, and trains new employees and students.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Knowledge/SkiIIs: Must have knowledge of and ability to perform phlebotomy (school, externship, prior employment)Must have ability to use standard office equipment (PCs, telephones, faxes etc.). Must possess good communication and organization skills. Must be able to work efficiently under stressful conditions and time constraints.

Other: Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related information.

Contacts: Requires the ability to work well with patients, the public and all other health care professionals.
