Job Description
Pharmacist Clinical - Oncology Investigational Drug Service
Location: University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO
Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, motivated, fun and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team. The position will focus on all aspects of Oncology Investigational Drug Service needs. If interested, you will be responsible for building and maintaining treatment plans, working with the EPIC teams to support new studies opening, dispensing drugs, processing orders, providing patient counseling, etc.
The ideal candidate would have background in managing oncologic and non-oncologic infusion therapies, working with investigational drugs, working independently, and have excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
Work Schedule:
  • Days
  • Full Time, 80 hours/pay period (1.0 FTE)
  • Monday - Friday, Hours of the the Investigational Drug Service Pharmacy is 7:00am - 5:00pm, pharmacist stagger 8 hour shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication regimens to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual medication-related problems.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Provides patient care by initiating, modifying, and monitoring medication therapy through approved mechanisms that may include therapeutic interchange, collaborative practice agreement, or other strategies.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical professionals, students, and patients.
  • Collaborates with care team to develop, implement and evaluate medication management quality improvement efforts.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

The pay range for this position is: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
