What You Will Do


We are looking for a Director, Innovation Strategy & Transformation to be part the team to develop a long term view and drive new initiatives across PGIM’s various business units. This role is at the intersection of where innovation, transformation, and asset management meet. You will need to be a proven change leader with a passion for results-driven transformation and innovation. You will have an opportunity to take part in our global business transformation.


This position can be performed from our office in Tampa, FL Or/ Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration


What You Can Expect


  • Educate the organization on the culture of innovation by leading events, workshops, and sessions (e.g., hackathons, conferences).
  • Apply a strong background in asset management, specifically with regards to the institutional investment process, distribution channels, and portfolio management.
  • Work with the team to discover, incubate, and accelerate concepts into business proposals and initiatives in a fast pace environment
  • Research asset management industry across public and private assets, building a network of peers, partners, and consulting firms.
  • Be passionate about innovation and present views, trends, and recommendations on innovation within asset management to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of PGIM innovation strategy across marketing, distribution, sales, client service, and business process improvements.
  • Drive innovation initiatives and projects using a matrix team, to deliver results and solutions in partnership with the businesses, and the wider functional teams.
  • Evaluate new concepts and emerging innovation trends within asset management and the financial industry and develop them into new innovative solutions for the businesses.
  • Identify business opportunities and needs and be a champion of innovation within asset management to help modernize and solve business problems.
  • Identify and work with forward-looking vendors and start-up companies (e.g. FinTechs, MarTechs, PropTechs).


What You Will Bring


  • Strong experience with building cross-business partnerships, collaborating with stakeholders and functional partners, and working with external vendors and start-ups.
  • 6+ years of proven experience driving results across large programs within the financial industry (for example asset management, investment banking).
  • Strong analytical skills working with multiple sources of data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, creating presentations, and articulating ideas to stakeholders and management.
  • A track record of progressing new insights, processes, and strategies that add business value, across a matrixed organization.
  • Proven self-starter able to work independently.
  • Good understanding of innovation in asset management, across private and public assets and client segments.


What Will Set You Apart


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in project management or product management.

  • Experience in the financial industry and asset management is a plus.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $140,000 to $175,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
