Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Scott Law Firm is seeking a growth oriented personal injury associate to join our team. At Scott Law Firm, we work hard to make a meaningful impact on our clients, our team members and our community. Scott Law Firm is a trial and litigation firm. Although we are able to resolve some cases without filing a lawsuit, most of our cases must be litigated to obtain the most fair and just result from the insurance company.

Since we were founded in 2016, the firm has been in a constant state of change and growth. Our Managing Attorney started the firm with one paralegal and we have now grown to a team of sixteen.

We are seeking a high growth associate attorney to join our team in Conroe, Texas. If you want to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment with the satisfaction of helping people in their time of need, then we encourage you to apply.The associate will work on a docket of cases, which primarily consists of auto, dog bite, and premises liability matters.

Responsibilities:

• Draft responses to written discovery, expert disclosures and pre-trial filings
• Conduct depositions of individual defendants on car accident cases and corporate representatives on commercial motor vehicle cases
• Draft Motions to Compel, Responses to Summary Judgment, and other pleadings
• Work closely with clients and Paralegals to develop and document evidence
• Litigate personal injury cases from case filing to trial
• Conduct legal research and argue pre-trial motions

Requirements:

• Caring attitude towards clients consistent with the firm's core value of being client centered
• Growth oriented mindset understanding that lifelong learning is required for success
• 3+ years of personal injury experience, either defense or plaintiff
• Admitted to Texas Bar
• Demonstrated comfort with technology and a paperless file system
