Salary Range: $17.87 - $26.24

  • Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) or Peer Support Specialist (PSS) by the State of Oregon required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Community Relations - Ability to communicate to people internal and external to the organization and to represent the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population. Basic understanding of differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
  • One (1) of the following required in order to meet the definition of Peer as defined by the State of Oregon Administrative Rule:
    • Self-identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services.
    • Self-identified person in recovery from a substance abuse disorder, who meet the abstinence requirements for recovering staff in alcohol and other drug treatment programs.
    • Family member of an individual who is a current or former recipient of addictions or mental health services.
  • Family member of an individual who is a current or former recipient of addictions or mental health services.
  • Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • A comprehensive understanding of substance abuse and its impact on the community and families and the ability to articulate that information to a diverse population.
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • Documentation of current and continuous abstinence required in accordance with certification requirements of MHACBO in the case of a recovering candidate.
  • Training and/or experience in community resources, substance abuse disorders and treatment/recovery in Linn County required.
  • Self-identified person in recovery from a substance abuse disorder, who meet the abstinence requirements for recovering staff in alcohol and other drug treatment programs.
  • Communication - Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand complex information/situations. Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities.
  • Self-identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services.
  • Experience and/or training with computer applications preferred.
  • LCH Treatment&Reco-Residential:
    • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • Enrollment in a Human Services Program preferred.
  • Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
