Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant-Dermatology

Posting Note: Join Phoenix Children's Pediatric Dermatology team! Position available for a full time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assisstant. • Clinical time is typically Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, or when clinic duties and patient care is completed • This position requires inpatient service/hospital coverage and after-hours coverage as needed • This is a very busy practice with complex pediatric patients. We have 4 attendings, APPs, and rotating residents/students and fellows • Must be able to work autonomously after initial specialty training • Procedures for inpatient/outpatient include cryotherapy, injections, shave and punch biopsies, microscopy (for hair, infestations, and fungal elements), and contact sensitization • Medical photography and use of digital media required, with training provided • Dermoscopy skills required (and can be introduced as part of training) • Appropriate and timely documentation is required as well as sign off completed charts/orders • Teaching and participation in department PSQI initiatives and conferences is required. Qualifications: At least 5 years of NP/PA experience in pediatrics and/or dermatology experience highly preferred.

This position works in collaboration with the attending physicians and works within their scope of practice to provide excellent clinical care for patients. Plays a critical role in the patient family medical team. Professional who may practice in hospital’s inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
