Job Description

Adecco Search is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Chester, SC area for the position of Payroll Specialist. Qualified candidates for this opportunity will have a background of at least 3 years of payroll processing experience in a Manufacturing environment, and preferably experience with ADP.

Job Scope:

  • Liaise with respective department heads in verifying employees' worked hours, overtime, paid time off etc; ensure employees and department heads follow the approval process for in time payroll processing.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assists in audit when required.
  • Manage the HR/Payroll system ensuring information is updated at all times.
  • Ensure that all wages, salaries, bonuses and/or deductions, are paid in accordance with company policies and state, local and federal laws. Responsible for the timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll administration for all hourly and salary employees, including overtime and allowance calculations.
  • Work with payroll vendor closely.
  • Assist and respond to inquiries from employees relating to pay.
  • Prepare letters, setting up of Personnel files and safekeeping of other required documents.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Requirements:'

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum qualification: Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience in a manufacturing environment (including overtime and allowance calculation)
  • Able to use payroll software especially ADP System, with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and is meticulous with an eye for details
  • Possess a high level of responsibility and integrity to maintain confidentiality of all HR and payroll records
