Payments And Disbursement Officer

JOB PURPOSE:

Leads the Payments and Disbursement Unit under Operations of Agency Banking ensuring accuracy and timely processing of payments of the stakeholders and approves transactions based on the standard policies and procedures of the bank and ensures processing within the approved expense budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures expenses are accurately booked to its proper GL account.
• Coordinates with the Agency Banking FBP in the alignment of proper accounting treatment, budget availment and correct imposition of tax rate.
• Coaches, mentors, guides, and supports the Payments and Disbursement Officers and Associates to deliver the job requirements.
• Verify and approves all transactions posted in the EPROC system by the Payments and Distribution Officers and Associates.
• Manages the Payments and Disbursement Unit and ensures the accuracy and timely processing of payments to vendors, agency partners and AB personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Skills: date management; financial reports; analytical and administrative skills
• Knowledge and experience in proper accounting booking and entries in any business unit of the bank and its operations
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or any business and/or marketing-related course
• At least 3 years relevant experience in banking, financial management, strategic planning, corporate planning, or its equivalent function
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office applications: PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook);
