Job Description
The Monticello Police Department is a Tier II accredited law enforcement agency that consists of Divisions of Patrol, CID, Narcotics, Dispatch and Code/ Ordinance Enforcement duties.
MPD is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Patrol Officers.
Successful applicants must:
1. Be 21 years of age or older
2. Possess a valid drivers license
3. Have no prior felony convictions or be convicted of misdemeanor offenses of a serious nature
4. Pass a drug test
5. Pass the MPD pre-employment physical fitness exam
6. Complete an in-person interview
7. Meet the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Training and Standards firearms qualification
College Degrees are not required, but preferred.
Salary DOE/ Certifications possessed by the applicant. The City of Monticello provides health insurance to employees and their immediate family and retirement through the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System. Sick, Vacation and Holidays are included.
