Job Description

Patient Care Associate (CNA), PACU

- (3242903)

"$750.00 sign on bonus available (to eligible candidates)"
Hours:

Patient Care Associate (PCA) opportunity available on the the Post Anesthesia Care Units. The Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) at MGH are comprised of 6 individual critical care areas (Ellison 3, White 3, Lunder 2, 3, 4 and White 13) dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia.


PCA assists multi-disciplinary health care team by assisting patients with daily living needs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs and transporting patients within MGH.


  • Enrolled in a nursing or pre-med undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations complete at time of hire OR
  • Enrolled in a certification program to become a Nursing Assistant or EMT at time of hire OR
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Successful completion of the Laboure College PCT program
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT at time of hire OR
