Responsibilities:
Business Office Call Center Environment- Patient Account Reps take incoming calls from patients primarily concerning their billing statement. We also take calls from insurance companies, attorneys,
Physician practices, internal departments and other related and unrelated affiliates while complying with all HIPAA regulations for all Norton Healthcare hospitals, physician practices and retail pharmacy .
Answers questions and assist callers concerning all billing and insurance matters including payments and financial assistance. Expected to handle callers that are upset, frustrated or wish to file a formal
grievance regarding care, service or billing concerns
**This position has the opportunity to work from home. You may be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility or be able to come to a Norton Healthcare facility for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana**Qualifications:
Interacts with callers providing responses to their hospital billing and physician inquiries. Analyzes patient accounts and evaluates results to ensure timely resolution by following set processes. Conveys information effectively, exercises active listening, and makes sound judgments and decisions by using logic and reasoning to identify and solve problems.

Required:
- One year in a healthcare setting
Desired:
- One year in a call center or healthcare setting with emphasis on experience regarding insurance, patient billing and other office related duties
- High School Diploma or GED
