Responsibilites

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and team-oriented environment.
  • Reconcile PO’s, invoices, and received items to ensure all purchases have been completed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (i. e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Maintaining the parts cage and surrounding areas including but not limited to cleanliness and upkeep of the area, and keeping floors free from obstructions and other materials and keeps general work area clean.
  • Evaluates min/max quantities to ensure parts and materials are available to support production demands. Adjusts these quantities to allow for lead time and delivery delays.
  • Find cost effective sources for procurement of parts and supplies.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Responsible for evaluating suppliers to locate cost effective sources for the procurement of tooling, parts, and materials.
  • Communicates well with other maintenance workers during shift and at shift change.
  • Checks invoices and packing slips for accuracy and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment.
  • Receive and facilitate pumping glue from tanker trucks to bulk storage tanks.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Performs periodic inventory evaluations and cycle counts to maintain physical and perpetual inventory of parts, and supplies.
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Follows instructions and requests from Maintenance Manager and/or other Production Management within ProAmpac Company.
  • Completes purchase orders accurately and completely, detailing each item ordered with complete description on its own line item, and verifying accurate need-by dates are entered into PO.
  • Experience working in a parts and supplies room in a manufacturing environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
