Part Time Middle School French Teacher

McCall Middle School is seeking a full time French Teacher

• Creative lesson planner that is able to focus on real world language aquistion and application.
• A strong understanding of special education practices and expectations.
• Experience designing and implementing Performance Based Assessments.
• Must have a native or near native level of proficiency and be able to teach all levels of French.
• Strong SEL skills, student-centered teaching practice and exceptional ability to work well in teams.
• Will teach three classes of French in a highly collaborative and high performing department.
• Co-teaching experience preferred. McCall Middle School (Winchester, MA) serves more than 1,084 students and theirfamilies in grades 6-8. Our entire faculty and staff work with students to achieve highacademic and social standards as well as personal and community responsibility. Personaland academic growth as well as building skills in self-advocacy during the middle schoolyears prepares students for high school and beyond. Our learning approach is to offer abalanced instructional program in a team setting that emphasizes academic integrity whilemaking an emotional connection with the students as they continue to develop social skills.
• A Masters degree in the subject with a teaching background is preferred.
• Must hold a Massachusetts License to teach French at the middle school level.
• Must understand and subscribe to proficiency-based teaching and learning.
