Part-time Janitor/Maintenance Support Services

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a part-time seasonal (summer) Janitor/Maintenance Support staff for our school. The hours for this position are flexible. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Janitor will be responsible for supporting the team with summer school cleaning and maintenance in preparation for the Fall semester.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up as scheduled
• Move furniture as needed
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders (this may include floor waxing and stripping)
• Perform upkeep of exterior areas, green space, and other areas as scheduled
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
• Perform general and deep cleanup of areas of the building as scheduled
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Troubleshoot issues with other handy tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• Capacity to take direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to be flexible and take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises
• 1+ years of janitorial or maintenance support experience preferred
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision and with a team
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary preferred
