Job Description

We are an indoor cannabis facility located in Watsonville, CA. We are looking for a part time cultivator/IPM applicator who will be responsible for applying pesticides in our cultivation rooms 3-4 days a week. The scheduled workdays will be Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday with the possibility of another day added throughout the week depending on labor demands, with the shift hours from 10am to 6:30pm for a total of 24 + hours a week. We are in search for someone driven, responsible, reliable and excited about working or even learning how to work in the cannabis industry. You will also be responsible for helping out with other cultivation duties such as, pruning, defoliation, cleaning, harvesting, transplanting and recording measurements. As well as, safely mixing and applying pesticides on a regular basis. Success in this position consists of someone who is reliable, honest, and diligent in performing and finishing tasks. This position is very important and as it provides help with cultivation tasks that could not be completed without extra help. This position also is done on Sunday and most of the tasks will be given through a task management app and checked on by the cultivation manager throughout the day. Included responsibilities in this position include applying pesticides at the correct ratio and ensuring even coverage throughout the canopy after the employee completes pesticide safety training through the cultivation manager/certified pesticide applicator. This person may also be responsible for closing down the facility at the end of the day. This position can include room for growth within the company and may lead to full time employment after the first few months.



Responsibilities

Pass pesticide training, accurately and safely mixing and applying pesticides evenly throughout a cultivation room with minimal visibility (using a green head lamp), perform cultivation tasks correctly and efficiently such as, under pruning, defoliating, transplanting, harvesting, bucking, cleaning, and recording measurements. Being reliable and trustworthy to show up to work on time and when scheduled while also being responsible for closing and locking the facility at the end of the day with supervision.
