As a Park Services Coordinator at the Thrill Capital of New England...


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Supporting and enforcing friendliness and guest interaction programs across the department
  • Synergistic relationship within the park to achieve common goals
  • Enforcing all Six Flags New England policies
  • Providing supervision, training, development, and evaluation for management and teams
  • Overseeing all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Park Services Department and assigned areas to include ensuring all appropriate staffing levels are maintained
  • Ensuring Administration Offices and In-Park Restrooms are at a standard of excellence, and assist as needed
  • Adhering to and maintaining standards of corporate record retention for training and other documents
  • Ensuring all Guest and Employee areas are clean and a standard of excellence is maintained
  • Interviewing and hiring seasonal Team Members
  • Performing other duties as assigned or necessary to support Six Flags New England
  • Coordinating the cleanliness and organization of equipment and supply inventories in each area storeroom and monitors equipment quality and quantity


Skills And Qualifications


  • Excellent motivational, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Previous training or teaching experience preferred
  • Is available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings, and off season
  • Supervisory experience – preferably Park Operations related
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety

Experience

Errors in performance, mismanaged paperwork, or failure to adhere to and enforce Operations policies as stated in any Standard Operating Procedures Manual may result in injuries or fatalities to yourself or others.


Contact With Others


Direct and continuous interaction with team members, guests, leads, and supervisors throughout the entire park.


CONFIDENTIAL DATA


Access to confidential information such as reports, phone listings, etc. High exposure to confidential data of park and team members.


MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND


Requires normal visual and strong mental demand.


PHYSICAL DEMAND


  • Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition
  • Requires continuous standing, some lifting, sitting, walking, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech
  • Must be able to lift and lower 5 lbs above shoulder level
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs consistently
  • Requires using telephone, radios, and computer equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry 15 lbs over 25 feet over various surfaces
  • Requires repetitive motions of the wrists, arms and shoulders
  • Strong physical mobility--the ability to move easily in different work stations, hand and arm movement and utilizes safe lifting and carrying techniques
  • Must be able to walk consistently throughout the course of an 8-hour day over various surfaces


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Occasionally works indoors and independently
  • Sometimes is exposed to dust, dirt, and water
  • Must be able to function in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Continuously works outside and closely with others
