A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PARAMEDIC


As a Paramedic, you are the lifeblood of our company. You have the opportunity to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours per day. As an emergency responder, you do whatever it takes to get there. You drive a variety of emergency vehicles in all road conditions, including inclement weather, dense traffic, and rural off-road settings. In order to respond efficiently and safely, you follow GPS, read map books, and follow written or verbal directions, staying in close communication with dispatchers, EMS crews, first responders, and others. You are conscientious about following all departmental, local, and state driving rules.


Upon arrival, you help provide direct patient care according to your competencies and per the Medical Director's authorization and protocols. You are often required to lift, carry, transport, and extricate patients, in some c WAREHOUSE LEAD


Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a motivated and committed leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As the Warehouse Lead, you are responsible for overseeing a specific area of the warehouse and maintain the flow of operations.


Hours And Wage


  • Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
  • Starting wage: $24/hour - $26/hour, based on experience
  • Monday- Friday, 5:00PM - 4:00AM
  • 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Trains new employees proper stacking and unloading procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Keeps floor clear of packages
  • Assists with stacking and sorting to ensure flow of freight
  • Monitors walk-in counter to clear packages and prevent build up
  • Notifies Assistant Manager of nearly full trailers to ensure switches can be made
  • Handles mis-sorts, damages, and out of area packages


YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
  • Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards
  • Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work with a full range of motion with no limits to standing, squatting, stair climbing, overhead lifting, walking, and lifting freight weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Previous warehouse operations experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT Physical exam, and criminal background
  • Ability to motivate and lead a small team of warehouse staff
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
