Paramedic Jobs

Astera Health has an opening for a PRN (as needed) Paramedic . We’re currently looking for a PRN Paramedic who is responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency care. Our medics perform activities and functions according to MN State Department of Health rules and regulations, and Astera Health policy and procedures, all while supporting the mission of Astera Health.

Responsibilities of a Paramedic include, but are not limited to:

• Determining the need for ALS procedures
• Performing secondary assessment of non-life-threatening injury/event
• Utilizations of established protocols to begin emergency medical care and verbalize physician orders
• Responding to incident scenes and conduct care as required
• Initiating and/or assisting with Basic Cardiac Life Support or ACLS
• Patient care while in transport
• Observing, reporting, documenting subjective/objective data
• On scene patient care of our service areas, which include Bertha, Henning, Ottertail, Sebeka, Verndale, and Wadena

Hours/Schedule

• Includes day, night, weekends and holidays
• As needed

Education And Experience

• Must have an active Paramedic license in the State of Minnesota
• Basic Trauma Life Support, CPR Instructor (AHA standards), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support a plus, but not required
• Must have current ACLS certification
